In July 1969, Ayn and Frank traveled to Titusville, FL, to witness the Apollo 11 lunar launch. This image is from a 54-page NASA booklet entitled "Mission to the Moon." Later that year, Rand would go on to publish an article in The Objectivist titled "Apollo 11," and to deliver a Ford Hall Forum lecture titled "Apollo and Dionysus." That lecture was later re-published in The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution.
